Muslim Festivals in Goa

Though the Muslim population is minimal in Goa, yet the major festivals are celebrated with much splendor and vigor. The most celebrated of them is the Eid - ul - Zuha and the Eid - ul - Fitr.

Eid-ul-Zuha:
This festival is important to all Muslims as it marks the sacrifice of Prophet Abraham's son. It is celebrated all over India and great feasts are prepared in the honor of the Prophet.

Eid-ul-Fitr:

This festival is celebrated all over India with great zeal and enthusiasm as it marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan. After a month of fasting, the Muslims look forward to celebrating it in a grand way and prepare elaborate feasts and organize fairs for rejoicing and enjoyment.
